They are both worth watching in their own way, but neither of them are completely accurate to the manga, which is still and always has been the best way to consume Berserk. No. They both tell the same small part of the overall story. 97 does it abit better, but I do find the movie trilogy/memorial edition more enjoyable in the animation aspect.
